It’s hard to believe that Liverpool has never won a Premier League title. You’d think that a prestigious franchise that has won numerous FA Cups, Champions League titles, and the like would have at least one Premier League title. But that is not the case. The Reds came close last year, but got beat out by Manchester City on the last week.
This season will be different. I’m picking Liverpool to win the Premier League. It’ll be a close contest for the top between Liverpool and Man City, once again. After all, there isn’t much in the line of competition. Arsenal is at a crossroad right now, especially after Arsene Wenger left. Manchester United has Ole as their manager and he looks to restore the Red Devils to their former glory. However, a passive defense and injuries hampered Manchester United and may have to deal with these issues again. Tottenham Hotspur may be a sleeper pick, but Harry Kane cannot do the work by himself. Finally, Chelsea is going through a lot, I.e. transfer bans and a new manager in Frank Lampard.
If you’re looking for another club that can pull a Leicester City miracle run, good luck. The “Big Six” have a stranglehold on the league, regardless of each club’s underlying issues. Still, it’ll likely come down to the last game of the season again. This time, Liverpool fans won’t be walking alone. The dynamic duo of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Saleh will be too much for the competition to bear.
