Wolverhampton finished 7th in the Premier League, a far drop-off (points-wise) from Manchester United's 6th place finish. What does Wolverhampton (or any club not in the top six) need to do to break through in the Premier League?

• Make the Big Transfer(s): What any club like Wolverhampton should do to compete with the big boys is to go for the big transfer. Rafa Camacho is one of those transfers, with the 19-year-old having 12 months remaining on his current deal with Liverpool. The Wanderers have offered a five-year contract, but the Reds are looking at 10 million Euros for Camacho's services. The Wolves must build on their momentum from last summer after signing Raul Jimenez.
• DE-FENSE! DE-FENSE! Part of making these big transfers is to focus on the defensive side of things. It has been a big point of emphasis in these 'do-to' lists, but it's especially true with a club trying to break through like Wolverhampton. One back-line option the Wolves are strongly considering is Edson Alverez, who are looking to offer the defender 8 million Euros to join the club.
  
• Build Some Sort of Depth: It doesn't just stop with the aforementioned signings. Middle-of-the-pack clubs like Wolverhampton should look to add depth to their rosters. This is especially true when the injury bug comes around and either derails the season of one of the top six teams or will end any other team.
