Brady vs. Mahomes. The old guard vs. the new guard. Who wins out? Why will this team win? Does home-field advantage play a role in this Super Bowl? There are many questions that must be answered, so here's my prediction of what will happen.
Honestly, I feel like the Kansas City Chiefs have an offense that's too strong. The quarterback position is more vital than ever, so the battle boils down to who's better at the position. Is Tom Brady the G.O.A.T.? Damn straight he is. Is Patrick Mahomes the best in the league right now? Yes, he is. Considering Mahomes has a complete arsenal at every position makes the Chiefs dangerous.
If Tampa Bay is to win, a couple things must happen. One, Tom Brady must be the G.O.A.T. That means utilizing his own weapons at his disposal, i.e. Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin. If any one of these three have a monster game, it could keep Kansas City on their heels in the passing game. The second thing that must happen is generating pressure. Todd Bowles has a deep linebacker group in Tampa Bay, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of blitz packages he will assemble. If he's brazen enough, he will try to take away the passing game and leave the Chiefs to try and run the ball. This is uncharacteristic of Kansas City since they heavily rely on Mahomes.
Still, I think the Bucs will have their hands full with Kansas City. The Chiefs are too deep, especially when you have Travis Kelce and the speedy Tyreek Hill. Thus, I'm going with the Chiefs, 35-30.
