Who Can Be The New Super Bowl Champions?

Right now, the New England Patriots are facing an uphill battle against the Houston Texans. Down 14-3, the Patriots are trying to get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. However, the red-hot Baltimore Ravens are riding an eight-game winning streak and seem destined for that acclaim. Which teams can become the new Super Bowl champions by the end of the year?
  • Baltimore Ravens: These Ravens aren't just about Lamar Jackson, who's the frontrunner in the MVP conversation. The Ravens are the NFL's top rushing team, amassing 207.8 yards per game on the ground. Can the Ravens finish with 200 passing yards per game AND 200 rushing yards per game in one season? Also, how can New England stop a mobile quarterback like Jackson?
  • San Francisco 49ers: Jimmy Garappolo has played better and the running game found its form this week. But the biggest factor in San Francisco being the new Super Bowl champion is their front four; the unit led by Nick Bosa and DeForest Buckner and their 45 sacks (second-best in the NFL) mans the best defense in the NFL. San Francisco allows 250.9 total yards per game and 134.2 passing yards per game. Teams like Philadelphia and the New York Giants have beaten New England by pressuring Tom Brady all game and San Francisco may be no different.
  • New Orleans Saints: Also armed with a solid front four, New Orleans looks like the most complete team in the NFL. This is especially true with Drew Brees being back from a thumb injury. But keep an eye on Michael Thomas, who's an underrated MVP candidate. Thomas has 110 receptions for 1,290 yards and six touchdowns.
  • Seattle Seahawks: There's a revenge factor that may come into play for Seattle against the Pats; the late-game interception in Super Bowl 49 may be motivation for the Seahawks. Seattle might actually have a unit that can give New England trouble. The third-best offense (385.4 total yards per game), led by MVP candidate Russell Wilson, just added Josh Gordon and can do damage with Chris Carson (879 yards per game, four touchdowns) as well.
