I've made it known in this blog that I am a Dragon Ball Z fan. It's borderline nerddom. Still, there are some lessons that can be learned from the main protagonist, Goku. First, Goku doesn't quit. No matter how difficult the situation is, he never quits. Whether it's an alien (Cooler) who's got Goku trapped in a bunch of wires or a blob who absorbs every powerful fighter in sight (Majin Buu), Goku always seems to find a way to come out on top. Credit the saiyan's resourcefulness, but also credit his tenacious spirit. Next, Goku constantly pushes his limits. It's said that a saiyan gets stronger with every battle, which is why Goku loves to fight. With every Dragon Ball Z era, Goku (or the protagonist of that era, for that matter) finds a higher form to obtain. This is done through putting his body through rigorous training and through finding ways to better himself (like how he underwent intense gravity training on his way to Namek). Finally, Goku is constantly learning. Goku's had numerous mentors and tutors throughout the arc and has learned new techniques such as the Kamehameha and the Spirit Bomb. Goku's pursuit of knowledge has made him into the warrior he is today, even if it's to the chagrin of his wife. The point is, we should all aspire to be like Goku. We should find ways to push our limits and better ourselves as people. Whether it'd be through physically bettering ourselves or through learning, we should better ourselves the way Goku does.
