What I Miss About Baseball

Today was supposed to be Opening Day for Major League Baseball. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic interfered with those plans and postponed the season until further notice. Still, there are a list of things I miss about America's pastime.

• The Home Runs: Everyone loves the long ball. We live in an era where the home run is being rediscovered. In fact, the Minnesota Twins set the record for most team home runs last season with 307. Thank goodness the home run is relevant again.
• The Tradition: From catching balls in the ball park to the seventh inning stretch, baseball has some of the coolest traditions around. There's also the occasional perfect game and no-hitter to go around as well.
• The Oddities: Baseball wouldn't be a fun sport without its oddities. You can throw a no-hitter and still LOSE the game, like when Steve Barber and Stu Miller did this in 1967.
  
• The Strategy: Baseball is one giant chess match, contingent on match-ups. Lefty versus righty, numbers versus numbers. The game boils down to if that strategy will work out in the end.
