Once again, this is your reminder that the Premier League is returning on June 17. Yes, i am excited for another sports league returning. However, there are a couple things I'm looking forward to when the league returns. First and foremost, Liverpool is expected to win the league. With only one loss and one draw this season, the Reds are on a historic pace. I've mentioned the duo of Mohamed Saleh and Sadio Mane numerous times on here. They deserve great praise for their accomplishments. However, Liverpool is only allowing 0.72 goals per match and only have three errors leading to goals. To top it off, they don't have a single own goal this season. Another part of why I'm looking forward to Liverpool winning is because I am a sucker for first-time champions. That is what makes Liverpool's victory that much sweeter. The other thing I'm looking forward to is seeing the smaller clubs succeed. Remember 2015-2016 when Leicester City shocked the world and won the Premier League? Well, they're back. Although Leicester won't win the Premier League this season, the Foxes are sitting pretty at third thanks to their stingy defense. Other clubs that are thriving include Wolverhampton (43 points) and Sheffield United (43 points). With clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea dominating the league for so long, it's refreshing to see the little guys get a chance. Photo courtesy of AP
