West Ham United's Checklist

Finishing with 39 points last season, West Ham United looks to improve on that mark in the Premier League. What must they do to improve?
  • Keep Declan Rice: The midfielder has been a staple for the Irons, leading the club in passes, interceptions, and tackles. Rice is also under contract until 2024 with an option for another year. There are rumors swirling that Rice may go to Chelsea for 65 million Euros (it was initially 50 million), but West Ham United may want to consider holding onto him. Rice appears to be one of the positive constants of the club.
  • Get Deep: There's no such thing as too much depth (of course, limitations on how many players you can have on a squad may say otherwise). It's important that the Hammers build depth in case of injuries to key players. Yes, that sounds cliche. However, it matters a lot to a club that's just hovering above relegation. An example of a good depth piece for the Hammers is Aaron Ramsey of Juventus.
  • Get A Midfielder To Pair With Rice: Rice could use some help in the middle of the field, too. Rice can't do all the work of holding the fort down alone. That's why getting another midfielder will help the Irons. One target that the Irons are looking at is Brahim Diaz.
