West Bromwich Albion's Checklist

The final team to get the Premier League promotion for 2020, West Bromwich Albion looks to hang around for a bit. What do the Baggies need to do to make this happen?

• Search For Some Defenders: It's becoming a bit of a motif here, but the Albion will need some defenders, especially against the pitch. West Bromwich nearly allowed a goal per game (0.98, third-best in the Championship), which is great. However, with the stiffer competition ahead, West Bromwich must shore up any holes to stand a chance, especially at the back. The Baggies are looking at potential targets such as Shane Duffy of Brighton.
  
• Midfielders! The Albion will also be looking at midfielders to compete with the Premier League big boys. Although Philip Billing will be too expensive for West Bromwich, there are cheaper alternatives than the midfielder worth 15 million euros. Some examples include Mauricio and Nampalys Mendy.
  
• Get Depth At Goaltender: Sam Johnstone is a solid constant for West Bromwich. The goaltender racked up 14 clean sheets last season and his save percentage was sixth-best in the Championship. Still, it never hurts to have backup, especially in the case of an injury. Getting a low-cost backup to Johnstone will help the Baggies in more ways than one.
