Vikings' Off-Season Checklist

Armed with lofty Super Bowl expectations, the Minnesota Vikings faltered to an 8-7-1 record and narrowly missed the playoffs. What moves do the Vikings need to make to reach the level of Super Bowl contender again?

• Get a New Offensive Coordinator (done): Minnesota's offense was underwhelming to the point of firing their offensive coordinator mid-season. In comes Kevin Stefanski, who has a ringing endorsement from head coach Mike Zimmer. Stefanski will get to work with an offense that features a wide receiving group of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.
  
• Retain Anthony Barr (done): Barr took less money to spurn the Jets for a return to the Vikings. Barr has been an essential part of the Vikings defense in the past few years. Barr has amassed 338 combined tackles, 13.5 sacks, and 22 pass deflections during his five years with the Vikings. The Vikings could use more help at outside linebacker, so the Barr deal helps them quite a bit financially.
  
• Fix the Offensive Line: It has been a staple of off-season checklists for many teams, but it especially sticks with the Vikings. Kirk Cousins was sacked 40 times last season, which played a role in his disappearances in prime-time games. There aren't many quality centers on the market, so offensive tackle and guard are the positions to fix for the Vikings.
