When Vince McMahon said he wanted to see a fast-paced football league, many would assume there would be more points. However, that hasn't been the case, as the highest amount of points scored was 37 by Houston. Granted, everyone was expecting shoot-outs of 40+ points per team. But the XFL's experiment has waned from such chaos.
There's also less of an emphasis on running the ball. Yes, the XFL wants more tempo in their games. However, when your leading rusher is Matt Jones of the St. Louis Battlehawks (129 rushing yards this season), it should raise some eyebrows. Aside from Cardale Jones (511 passing yards), the passers in the XFL aren't lighting it up. But it's only two weeks worth of games. We'll see what goes down in the next couple weeks and if those numbers climb.
