There has never been a tighter race for Premier League supremacy than this season's installment. Liverpool and Manchester FC are literally neck-and-neck, with Liverpool ahead by two points, but having also played one more game than Man City. It's a tale of two franchises that are hoping to win for different reasons.
Manchester City has dominated Premier League play for the past few years. The defending champs also won in 2013-2014 behind the likes of Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne. The Sky Blues broke the Big Four dominance in Premier League play with that title in the 2013-2014 season. Man City is hoping to repeat as the champions with two games in hand. Liverpool is a different story. A historic franchise that has won five European cups (more than any other English club), three UEFA Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, and 18 League titles, the Reds are hoping to get some good fortune with a Premier League championship (they've never won the title). Mohamed Salah (22 goals) and Sadio Mane (20 goals) have put Liverpool on the cusp of winning their first Premier League title. So who will win the title? Both clubs have an easy slate. But keep an eye out for Liverpoo, who's caught in a battle with Barcelona in UEFA play. It'll be interesting to see how this last week will unfold in Premier League play.

Love that you're covering English soccer! Even though I'm not a Liverpool fan, the race to the top has been great entertainment to watch, and their recent 4-0 win over the mighty Barcelona has really got people talking about English football again.
