Teams That Should Just Blow It Up

The following teams had high expectations (or playoff expectations) at the beginning of the season, but watched those expectations go up in smoke. With that being said, it's probably a good idea to start from scratch, right? Here are a few teams that should hit the reset button hard.

• Atlanta Falcons: Here are a couple reasons why the Falcons should start from scratch. One, they just fired their general manager and head coach. After coming up short and constantly blowing big leads, Arthur Blank (who is an extremely patient man), finally had enough. This would be a good chance to get a fresh start with a new regime in place. Second, the Falcons are in salary cap hell. Currently, they only have $2,485,812 to work with in the cap and will be $24,942,484 over the cap next season. Why not let this cap space soften up and let the big contracts go?
  
• Minnesota Vikings: After watching Kirk Cousins take a turn for the worse after his good season last year, Viking fans are in shock at starting 0-5. They've already begun the bloodletting by trading Stefon Diggs to Buffalo, so the Vikings should look into starting over. Matt LaFleur looks like he's going to dominate the NFC North for a while with Green Bay's new offensive system, so Minnesota should look into hitting the reset button. This is especially true since Minnesota will be $8,175,969 over the cap for next season.
  
• Dallas Cowboys: Here's an anarchist idea: Why not let Dak Prescott walk and build a new, improved Cowboys team? Yes, this seems radical given the amount of offensive talent that the Cowboys have. However, Prescott will require a massive contract and Jerry Jones is usually hesistant on spending money on big contracts. This season (at least for the Super Bowl) appears lost for the Cowboys, so rebuild the whole unit from scratch and try again later on.
