Takeaways From Week Two of the NFL Season

Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season has gone full 2020 with unexpected events happening. What, you ask? Here's what.

• The Injuries Kept Piling Up: Michael Thomas, Nick Bosa, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, and Jimmy Garappolo all either were out for Week 2 or got injured in action. As a result, their respective teams either got hurt during the week or will have their chances hurt in the week. This is especially true for San Francisco, who's already without George Kittle and Richard Sherman.
  
• "They Are Who Thought They Were": That famous line from Dennis Green came true when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Carolina Panthers, 31-17. Tom Brady looked better than he did last week, throwing for a touchdown and completing just under two-thirds of his passes. Leonard Fournette was the star of the offense, though: the former Jaguars running back ran the ball 12 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. • The More They Stay the Same: Remember when the Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in that one Super Bowl against the New England Patriots? Well, the Falcons blew another double-digit lead, this time against the Dallas Cowboys. Atlanta had a 29-10 lead, which included leading by 15 points with just under five minutes left. The next thing you know, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys scored two touchdowns, recovered a spinning onside kick that left the Atlanta Falcons clueless, and left Greg Zeuerlein to kick the game-winning 46-yard field goal as time expired. This has left many to wonder if Dan Quinn and his game mismanagement will eventually get him fired.
