First of all, rest in piece, Paul Allen. The Seahawks owner passed away at the age of 65 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Best wishes are in order for the Trail Blazers and the Seahawks in their seasons, both current and upcoming. Anyways, I'm going to start keeping tabs on what went down every week in the NFL. What went down in the sixth week of the NFL?
  • The Patriots Took a Lot of Wiggle Room Away From the Chiefs: With their Sunday Night victory over Kansas City, Tom Brady and his motley crew of Patriots put themselves closer to claiming the top spot in the AFC. The win also gave the Patriots the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Chiefs for that top spot. It wasn't just Tom Brady alone who led the Pats to victory; Sony Michel (24 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns) ran the Chiefs to the ground while Trey Flowers and Elandon Roberts each had seven tackles and combined for 1.5 tackles for loss. If Kansas City's to hold onto the top spot, they must improve defensively. The Chiefs are on pace to allow the most yards in a single season.
  • The Steelers Appear to be Back: James Conner appears to be making Pittsburgh fans forget about Le'Veon Bell, as he ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries against the Bengals. Pittsburgh won, 28-21, behind Juju Smith-Schuster and Antonio Brown combining for 12 catches, 216 yards, and a touchdown as well. Pittsburgh will be tested the rest of the way, only having three games against teams currently below .500 left on their schedule.
  • Dallas's Offense Finally Woke Up: Behind big games from Cole Beasley (nine receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns) and Ezekiel Elliott (24 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown), the Cowboys seem to have found their offensive groove against the Jaguars. A 40-7 victory was also done in part to Blake Bortles being, well, Blake Bortles. However, the Cowboys needed their offense to come alive (especially the receivers) and they did it against one of the top defensive teams in the NFL.
