A crappy team finally got their first win of the season! Yay? Here's what was taken away from the ninth week in the NFL season.

• Jimmy Garappolo Proves He Can Carry The Niners When Needed: When the running game and the defensive line didn't do much for San Francisco, Jimmy G carried the team. Garappolo's 317 passing yards and four touchdowns were enough to propel the 49ers to a close 28-25 victory over Arizona, who had won ten straight over San Francisco prior to the match-up. On top of San Francisco's close victory, they became the lone undefeated team with New England's loss. If Garappolo can turn in solid performances like this regularly, the Niners will become a threat to win the Super Bowl.
  
• New England May Have Some Competition In The AFC: The previously unbeaten Pats had no way of containing Lamar Jackson, for Jackson threw for a touchdown and ran two in. As a result, the Patriots got wrecked, 37-20. Belichick's squad generally have a hard time containing dual-threat quarterbacks, as seen by losses to the likes of Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, and Cam Newton.
  
• The Browns Have Turned... Well, Brown: A 2-6 start to the season doesn't bode well for Cleveland going forward. Their recent 24-19 loss to Denver only cemented their tumultuous season as the Browns had to settle for four field goals, failing to punch the ball in the red zone on nearly every turn. What will happen? Will Freddie Kitchens be one-and-done? Which coordinators will be gone? There will be plenty of questions heading towards an uncertain offseason.
