Surprise NBA Teams for the Season

We all know that it'll probably be the Golden State Warriors that'll win the NBA title come June. At least that's what the casual NBA fan will believe. However, keep an eye on these three teams when the NBA season rolls around.

1. Detroit Pistons: There are numerous ifs surrounding this team. If Reggie Jackson can get his act together. If Andre Drummond can actually step his game up to more than pulling down rebounds. If Dwane Casey can bring some magic he had from Toronto over. If everything works out, the Pistons could be in the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference.
2. Miami Heat: Speaking of a weak Eastern Conference, the Heat can take advantage of this weak conference. In fact, they can take advantage of a weak Southeast Division and win. Justise Winslow looks like the type of player Pat Riley would want on his team and Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside make for an underrated duo.
3. New Orleans Pelicans: Without DeMarcus Cousins, the Pelicans appear to be weakened. However, there are a couple benefits they still have. One is Anthony Davis. Another is the addition of Julius Randle who'll help the squad. New Orleans can compete as long as Davis is around and Randle's a solid addition.
