Look at the time! 2019 is almost coming to an end and it's time to hand out the '2019 Sports Things Of The Year Awards'! Let's commemorate those who have achieved high marks this season. Team Of The Year: New England Patriots: Winners of Super Bowl 53, the Patriots continue their marks of excellence in the NFL. With big-time players like Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman, the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3 to secure their sixth Super Bowl in franchise history. Male Athlete Of The Year: Kawhi Leonard: You can call him "Mr. Fun Guy". You can call him "Board Man". You can call him the NBA Finals MVP. In any case, Kawhi Leonard had a massive 2019. Leading the Toronto Raptors to their first NBA title, including a buzzer-beating shot against the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs, Leonard has made a name for himself in the NBA landscape. From winning the Stuttgart World Cup in January to completing a triple twisting double somersault at the 2019 U.S. National Gymnastics Championship, Biles has kicked ass in the world of gymnastics. She even led the United States to the team final at the 2019 World Championships in first place. It's safe to say that 2019 was the year of Simone Biles. But Kraft also receives this honor for all the wrong reasons. Kraft is facing felony charges from a prostitution case stemming from a massage parlor in Florida in February. Talk about wanting a quickie. Yeesh. Photo Courtesy of Patriots.com Sports Moment Of The Year: U.S. Women's Soccer Team Winning The World Cup: These awesome ladies did it... for America. Sports Executive Of The Year: Masai Ujiri: The Toronto Raptors secured their first NBA title thanks to the mastermind known as Masai Ujiri. Bringing in Kawhi Leonard was a brazen move, considering Leonard wanted to return to his hometown of Los Angeles. The result was an NBA title with Leonard winning NBA Finals MVP honors. Leonard may be a legend in Canada now. But Ujiri deserves a great deal of credit for getting him there. Photo Courtesy Of NBA.com
