Southampton's Checklist

Southampton finished strong, earning a point in their last five matches (including two wins) en route to 52 points. What must the Saints do to keep the momentum going?

• Replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Hojbjerg has just completed a 15 million Euro move to Tottenham Hotspur. That leaves a void that Southampton must fill. Some options include Weston McKennie, who's said to be worth somewhere north of 20 million Euros (the Saints offered McKennie 26 million Euros), and Jeff Hendrick, who would be worth under 10 million Euros.
  
• Get Harrison Reed (If The Opportunity Comes): Reed is set to leave Southampton for Fulham after being loaned to them. Fulham has an 8 million Euro option to keep him. If Fulham passes up on keeping him, Southampton should consider getting him.
  
• Keep All Key Players: The Saints rode some significant momentum heading into the off-season, so it would be wise to hold onto any key players. What makes this tricky is trying to list players to get Weston McKennie for their recent bid of 26 million Euros. Still, if the Saints want to be competitive, they'll have to walk the tightrope of keeping important players while freeing up money.
