Saints' Off-Season Checklist

Last season, the Saints went 13-3, making it all the way to the NFC Championship game. There, they got screwed over by a bad no-call for pass interference as they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. What can the Saints do to win the Super Bowl?

• Keep Sean Payton Around (done?): Rumors have swirled around Payton's potential departure to the Dallas Cowboys. However, Payton seems to have quashed those rumors by stating the "fleur-de-lis tattoos" that he had on his body. Payton's commitment to the Saints will be key to their future, especially with Brees getting older.
  
• Find a Successor to Brees (done?): Speaking of Brees, the Hall of Fame-caliber quarterback isn't getting any younger. At 40 years old, Brees may have a few years left maximum before he retires. The Saints should be proactive in looking for a potential replacement. If not now, it needs to be soon. They re-signed Teddy Bridgewater, but is he the long-term solution?
• Find Defensive Depth (partially done): The Saints were actually awesome on defense last season, with the likes of Cameron Jordan emerging as Pro Bowl players. However, adding some depth to the roster doesn't hurt anyone. The Saints added Malcolm Brown to the mix and they can draft depth pieces as they go.
