Rams' Off-Season Checklist

Fresh in their new abode, the Los Angeles Rams have seized the NFC West, making the most of a weakened division last season. But how will they do moving forward? What will they need to do to get Hollywood into a 'Super Bowl' mood?

• Overhaul the Defense (done): Adding experienced players like Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters, and Ndamukong Suh makes the Rams one of the scariest defenses... on paper. They've also cleared up some cap space, releasing the likes of cornerback Kayvon Webster and linebackers Alec Ogletree and Robert Quinn. In the process, they've given up numerous draft picks and were $5 million over the cap (excluding the Brandin Cooks trade and acquiring LB Ramik Wilson) before cutting cap space, indicating they're all in on the 2018 season and perhaps 2019. Will the busy off-season from GM Les Snead work in Los Angeles's favor?
  
• Give Jared Goff the Missing Weapon (done): The Rams bolstered their offense by adding Cooks. Adding Cooks to a receiving corp that includes Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp will help give Jared Goff more options in the passing game and gives the Rams a No. 1 receiver.
  
• Work on Extensions/New Deals With Aaron Donald, Brandin Cooks (not done): In the midst of their flurry of moves, the Rams will face tough financial decisions regarding their stud defensive tackle Aaron Donald and wide receiver Cooks. Getting long-term deals worked out with the two will be critical for the Rams in the future, along with figuring out the cap space situation.
