LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers had a massive effect on the NBA team. The Cavs own the worst record in the NBA at 1-7 and started their season off on a six-game losing streak. A similar effect is being felt in Madrid as Real Madrid currently sits ninth in La Liga. Cristiano Ronaldo left Madrid for Juventus, leaving an intimidating presence for Real Madrid behind.
The problems are far and wide for Madrid, with incidents ranging from "he said, he said" malarkey from a Liverpool star to an inexperienced coach has this team already on the ropes. Giving up Achraf Hakimi to Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal doesn't make things easier for Madrid. Having a young, budding superstar keep the offense up for Madrid was what they desperately need.
There was some hope for Real Madrid as they were linked to Raheem Sterling. Unfortunately, those rumors seemed to have died down a bit. Still, Madrid is hoping to bring in Belgian star Eden Hazard to help remedy the woes. Will they do it? If they do, will it work? Stay tuned.
