I think it's time we took a look at a Super Nintendo game for Nostalgia Game Review since it's been a while since I've done a review on such a game. This edition takes a look at Kirby Super Star, a game that was released initially on March 21, 1996 (its birthday is nearly coming up). Developed by HAL Laboratory, the game, Kirby Super Star was on the back end of the Super Nintendo's lifespan.
Kirby Super Star takes Kirby through multiple mini-games, ranging from a "Gourmet Race" to a "Megaton Punch competition" to a "Great Cave Offensive", where you collect as many treasures as possible. The minigames culminate to a showdown with Marx, who's looking to take advantage of the sun and moon fighting and take over Pop Star. I love Kirby Super Star. It's one of the more underrated SNES games of its time in that it isn't a full-fledged adventure, but a group of mini-adventures packed into one. The game takes the basic Kirby formula, which is suck up as many enemies as possible and digest them, and puts various twists on the formula. Kirby Super Star isn't too difficult of a game, either. You can have your younger siblings pick this up for a memorable time. I love Kirby Super Star for the Super Nintendo and would recommend you check this out. It's sure to be entertaining for everyone!
