Welcome to another edition of Nostalgia Game Review, where I review games from your past and see if they are worth playing! This edition will be covering Final Fantasy 7.
Final Fantasy 7 was an RPG for the original PlayStation. Initially released on January 31, 1997, Final Fantasy 7 was developed by Square Enix and published by Square in Japan and by Sony worldwide. Final Fantasy 7 had a remake made on April 10, 2020, which was available exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Final Fantasy 7 takes place in Midgar, where you play as Cloud Strife. Strife, a member of Shinra's electric company SOLDIER, joins AVALANCHE, an eco-terrorist group that is trying to take down the mega-corporation Shinra from using the planet's energy as a resource. Along the way, Strife meets characters such as Aerith, Tifa, and Barrett. Revered as one of the greatest PlayStation games of all time, if not, the greatest, Final Fantasy 7 is an amazing RPG to play. You get immersed in the plot of the game, which takes you on numerous twists and turns throughout. There are even some humorous moments in the game that will make you smile. You also get limit breakers, powerful moves that will either deal a great amount of damage or will help your party immensely. If you loved Chrono Trigger, you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that Square Enix was involved in this game. The charge-based system is in Final Fantasy 7 and requires a great deal of strategy to win battles. This is especially true for the boss battles, which willmake you think of ways to overcome bosses such as Reno. Words cannot be said about how amazing Final Fantasy 7 is. The good thing is that the remake has much more content and is still faithful to the original game. Definitely play Final Fantasy 7 when you get a chance. You will have a memorable experience playing this classic.
