NL east Preview

Ladies and gentlemen, baseball season is upon us. Spring training is underway and while there are some free agents that still need to be signed, we are a mere two weeks from the opening series in Tokyo between the Seattle Mariners and the Oakland Athletics. This also means that it's time to kick off the preview, starting off with the NL East.

• Top Dog(s): Everyone Except the Marlins: A few years ago, the NL East was weak. The Nationals ruled a meager division that had the rebuilding Braves and Phillies, a listless Mets team, and the ever-pathetic Marlins. Now, the NL East has become one of the toughest divisions in baseball. Every team sans the Marlins made moves to get competitive: the Nationals lost Bryce Harper, but got Patrick Corbin and are looking to add Craig Kimbrel, the Phillies ADDED Harper along with Jean Segura and J.T. Realmuto, the Mets added Wilson Ramos, got Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz, and overhauled their bullpen, and the NL East champion Braves added Josh Donaldson. On paper, it's anyone's guess who will win the NL East and every team has a legit reason for contending for the NL East crown. Well, every team except for one...
