NHL Teams To Watch For In The Expanded Playoff

HALLELUJAH! Hockey is back and no one has tested positive for the coronavirus! Yay! Hopefully, things are kept this way as we progress through the Stanley Cup playoffs. With that being said, let's look at the Stanley Cup playoffs itself. There are the teams you know about, i.e. the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and the Vegas Golden Knights. But which teams under the radar should you be watching for?

• Montreal Canadiens: It all starts with Carey Price, who's the goaltender capable of stealing a shortened series. Price (career SV% of .917, GAA of 2.49) has been an excellent goaltender throughout his career and with an improved back check, the Canadiens can stall until the Pittsburgh Penguins just wear down. Watch for Montreal to make some noise in the playoffs.
  
• Arizona Coyotes: Maybe, just maybe, now is the time for the Coyotes to finally shine. Having acquired Taylor Hall to collaborate with the young cast of Clayton Keller and Jakob Chychrun, Arizona looks to dispel the myth that hockey doesn't belong in the desert. Defensively, Arizona is one of the more underrated teams. However, it'll be up to the goaltending to make noise.
  
• New York Rangers: It's not just because of Henrik Lundvquist. Mika Zibanejad (41 goals, 34 assists) is a player you should watch for in these playoffs. He and Artemi Panarin (32 goals, 63 assists) have set up a nice one-two combo for New York to thrive in the future.
