NHL Preview: Central Division

 Next, let's take a look at a division that has been loaded since the realignment: the Central Division. Home to the Nashville Predators, Winnipeg Jets, and the dynastic Chicago Blackhawks, the Central Division looks to make yet another run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

• Do the Chicago Blackhawks Need a Rebuild? Stan Bowman has done plenty of reshuffling considering the Blackhawks' current situation. Saddled with long-term contracts and an aging core, Chicago is faced with the question of whether to end their run or not. With dominant forces such as Winnipeg and Nashville running the division and up-and-comers such as the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche on their way, it would seem reasonable to put players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the market.
• Can the Stars Win With Tyler Seguin Around? Dallas gave Tyler Seguin a nice extension and deservedly so. Seguin scored 40 goals last season for the Stars and has established himself as a key component for Dallas. With a young blue line and tremendous offensive depth, the Stars look to take that next step to Stanley Cup contender. It may take some growing pains, but this team should make it to the next level.
• Between Nashville and Winnipeg, Who's Poised to Make the Stanley Cup Finals Next? The answer could go either way: Nashville is a gritty team that can take the wind out of you, while the Jets have Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler as a part of a tremendous attack. Winnipeg is younger and hungrier, but Nashville's sturdiness could make the difference. Nashville may also be looking to avenge their playoff loss to Winnipeg from last season.
