Just Keep Swimming

The Miami Dolphins have been anonymous in the NFL landscape since Dan Marino left. Numerous quarterbacks have left the Dolphins graveyard, with names like Chad Henne, Jay Fiedler, and Chad Pennington going under center and withering away under the Dolphins. But the Dolphins seem to have found their guy, Tua Tagovailoa. As a result, it's starting to pay dividends.

With victories over the Rams and Cardinals, the Miami Dolphins suddenly look impressive. A swarming defense led by defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah (25 total tackles, seven sacks) and cornerback Xavien Howard (four interceptions) has Miami playing tough. As for Tua, the Alabama quarterback has been solid, completing 65.4% of his passes and throwing for three touchdowns in three games played.

As a result, the Dolphins are 5-3 and in playoff position. With the Patriots dynasty in limbo and the Jets winless and listless (as usual), Brian Flores's squad is ahead of schedule in their rebuild. Hopefully, Dolphin fans will finally get to see some solid Miami football not seen since the days of Marino.
