Jets' Off-Season Checklist

The Jets wrapped up their 2019 season with a 7-9 record, but have high hopes for the future with Sam Darnold. What can they do to pry the AFC East from New England?

• Bulk Up The Offensive Line: Sam Darnold will need some blocking in front of him. Jets quarterbacks took 52 sacks last season, which is an astonishing number. The Jets will need some blocking that can also open up lanes for the running game.
  
• What To Do With Robby Anderson? The Jets haven't even had a decent receiver in a long time. Robby Anderson (52 receptions, 779 receiving yards, five touchdowns) seems to be above that. But should the Jets pay him? Should they move forward without him? New York must figure out what to do with Anderson?
  
• What About Le'Veon Bell? There has been some trade rumors swirling around Bell, so it remains to be seen on what will happen with the running back. Should the Jets move on from Bell as well, considering Bell just turned 28 today.
  
• Cut The Cap: It isn't just Bell that the Jets should be looking at. New York should look at players like corner Trumaine Johnson and create some cap space to compete for the suddenly vulnerable AFC East.
