Jets' Off-Season Checklist

The Jets have gone another season near the bottom of the AFC East. What can they do to take the next step in seizing control of the division from New England?

• Get a Franchise Quarterback (not done): Yes, the Jets got Teddy Bridgewater. However, Bridgewater's injury history is well-known. Therefore, the Jets should explore trying to get a quarterback, especially since they traded up to the No. 3 spot.
  
• Fix the Offensive Line (partially done): The Jets allowed 47 sacks last season, which nearly averages out to three sacks a game. They fired offensive line coach Steve Marshall and re-signed Dakota Dozier, Brent Qvale, and Ben Ijalana. If they fix the guard and tackle positions and build some depth, they can be better prepared up front regarding protection.
  
• Get Some Skill Players and a Tight End (partially done): Getting Terrelle Pryor should help the Jets a bit, especially since they have depth at wide receiver. However, they could use a tight end that is also a big red zone body. Unfortunately, Jimmy Graham's off the market. Therefore, the market's more thinned out.
  
• Get an Edge Rusher (not done): Todd Bowles loves guys that can explode off the edge. Getting that guy who can disrupt opposing offenses for his defense will help immensely.
