Giants' Off-Season Checklist

The New York Giants suffered a major setback last season after making the playoffs a year before. They finished rock bottom in the NFC East and landed the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft. What can they do to better themselves for the future?

• Find Some Offensive Pieces (done): Normally, running backs don't go as high as No. 2 in the NFL Draft. However, Saquon Barkley is a unique case. A rare blend of speed and power will bring an offensive threat to New York's backfield.
  
• Bring In Some Veteran Talent (done): Bringing in Nate Solder as a tackle will help Pat Shurmur's crew get the Giants on the right track. The Giants hope that some of the veteran leadership can set Odell Beckham Jr. straight as well; OBJ has been steering towards the wrong direction for quite some time. William Gay and Michael Thomas has been added as veteran leadership for the secondary.
  
• Get a Quarterback (not done): The Giants will go with Eli Manning, who's 37 years old. They had a chance to go after Josh Rosen or Sam Darnold in the draft, but opted to pick up Barkley instead. This isn't a bad choice. However, this was the year for quarterbacks in the NFL Draft and Manning isn't getting any younger.
