Dolphins' Off-Season Checklist

The Miami Dolphins had another average season, finishing 7-9 for 2018. What can the Dolphins do to escape their average purgatory?

• Find a New Head Coach (done): Dolphin fans loved what they saw from Brian Flores's defense in Super Bowl 53. New England's defense, coached by Flores, put immense pressure on Jared Goff throughout the game, forcing Goff to make terrible throws en route to a 13-3 New England victory.
• Find a Suitor for Ryan Tannehill: The Dolphins are trying to ship embattled quarterback Ryan Tannehill off so they can start fresh at the position. Considering Miami's undesirable draft position and the lack of interest from other teams, this may be a harder trick to pull off. If they do ship Tannehill, they should look at Teddy Bridgewater to replace him.
• Stop Being Average (will it ever be done?): Ever since Stephen Ross bought the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Dolphins have been an average team. They've been average to the point of going from a dominant team in the past to being an anonymous team. Fix the front office, find a way to depose Stephen Ross, and go through a complete overhaul in Miami to make the Dolphins great again.
