Crystal Palace’s To-Do List

Finishing 12th in the Premier League, Crystal Palace has a better season than usual. What can they do to bring in some good fortune?
  • Continue To Build: Roy Hodgson has built up this team since he took over in 2017, improving on Crystal Palace’s 44-point total from the previous season. Now middle-of-the-pack squads are usually prey to the bigger clubs swooping in on transfers. The Eagles must be wary of this and keep any key players about to leave, if possible.
  • Find Replacements For Outgoing Players: If Crystal Palace isn’t able to keep key players, it’s imperative to look for sufficient replacements. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is currently in the clear to be signed by Manchester United, which will leave a void at defender. Replacing Wan-Bissaka is the Belgian defender for Atalanta, Timothy Castagne.
  • Scour The Field For Good Fits: It isn’t just the lesser teams Crystal Palace should look at. Taking a flyer on players like Daniel Sturridge should help, especially since he was a proven goal scorer for Liverpool and is 29 years old. For the right price, the Eagles should look at all angles when looking to take the next step.
