Spencer Dinwiddie had an interesting proposal for NBA fans today. If they can crowdfund his contract (roughly $24,632,630 in BitCoin), Dinwiddie will decide where he plays next. Dinwiddie stated that shoe companies and endorsers influence team decisions all the time and wanted to leave the fans with the decision.
While this does sound like a cool idea in theory, it's not appropriate for a time like this. Dinwiddie did say that all proceeds will go to charity, which is nice. However, where is the money going to come from with most fans tight on cash? (photo from Twitter)
