Cowboys' Off-Season Checklist

The Dallas Cowboys won the NFC East last season, but fell short against the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round. What do they need to do to get rings for the other hand?

• Extend DeMarcus Lawrence (done): One of the most dominant edge rushers in recent memory, Lawrence was set to hit free agency and leave a void up front. Then, Dallas franchise tagged him and gave him a five-year, $105 million extension. Lawrence has 122 total tackles and 25 sacks in his last two seasons with the Cowboys. Now, the Cowboys have Lawrence and added Robert Quinn, making for a dynamic rotation at defensive end.
• Find a Safety: The rumors surrounding Earl Thomas coming to Dallas swirled at intense levels before free agency began. However, those rumors never came to fruition as Thomas eventually signed with Baltimore. However, the Cowboys can go after Eric Berry if they need to.
• Find a Complimentary Receiver for Dak Prescott (done): Randall Cobb's going to play a significant role in the Cowboys' offense. He'll serve as a go-to guy for when Amari Cooper is either covered well or out of commission. Cobb will make up for the absence of Cole Beasley, who went to Buffalo.
