College Football Winners and Losers, Week Four

It's upset city in the fourth week of the football! Not even the defending champions are safe! Who hit the ground running and who went SPLAT! on their face(s)?

• Winner: K.J. Costello: The Mississippi State quarterback had two 300-yard games in one, throwing for 623 yards (an SEC record) against the defending champions. Costello had five touchdowns and two interceptions to boot as the Bulldogs upset #6 LSU, 44-34. The Stanford transfer made a statement against LSU, giving new coach Mike Leach his first SEC win.
• Winner: Pittsburgh: The #21 Panthers haven't been relevant since the days of Dan Marino, but are suddenly 3-0. Pittsburgh held the Cardinals to 1-11 on third down and 223 total yards, getting three interceptions in the process. Winning against #24 Louisville, 23-20, proves that Pittsburgh is a dark horse in the ACC.
• Loser: Oklahoma: Letting a short-handed Kansas State score 24 unanswered points en route to a 38-35 loss has #3 Oklahoma shaken. The upset from the Wildcats sounds excellent, but it was Spencer Rattler who threw three interceptions, including the one that sealed the Sooners' fate on the last drive. Kansas State scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory against a collapsing Sooners squad.
