College Football Winners and Losers, Week Five

The Big 12 is in serious trouble and the Pac-12 just put out their schedule! Who's busting through the colder weather just fine and who's feeling chilly?

• Winner: Mac Jones: The Alabama quarterback had a solid day for the Tide, throwing for four touchdowns while going 20-for-27 and throwing 435 yards. Once again, the Tide beat the #13 Texas A&M Aggies by a score of 52-24 and Jones is to thank for that blowout. For all the talk of Alabama's stranglehold on college football weakening, it sure doesn't seem like that's the case.
• Winner: West Virginia vs. Baylor: The two teams gave an overtime thriller, with West Virginia getting the upper hand in the end. Tykee Smith intercepted a Charlie Brewer pass in the second overtime to highlight a thrilling overtime period. The Mountaineers ended up winning, 27-21, on a three-yard run from Leddie Brown. That might've been the most exciting news in the Big 12, though...
• Loser: Big 12: Not only did #9 Texas lose to TCU, 33-31, but #18 Oklahoma lost AGAIN. This time, they fell to Iowa State, 37-30. The Big 12 looks like they're in deep trouble if the playoff goes through this season.
• Loser: Central Florida: The #11 Knights fell to Tulsa, 34-26, on Saturday. It's not that Central Florida was outplayed; they outgained the Hurricanes, 455-438, and had more first downs than Tulsa (23-21). It was the penalties that killed Central Florida, to the tune of 18 penalties for 124 yards. That lack of discipline did the Knights in, possibly indicating the end to their AAC run of dominance.
