College Football Winners and Losers, Week Eleven

The college football regular season is winding down. Who's pumping up their case for a playoff spot and who's just... there?
  • Winner: Iowa State: The Cyclones never had a respectable football program until now, so it's nice to see them winning for a change. The #22 Cyclones doubled up the Baylor Bears, 28-14, and now become bowl-eligible after getting their sixth win of the year.
  • Winner: Offense in the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State Game: If you wanted a shootout in the Sooner State between #6 Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, you were in for a treat. Taylor Cornelius and Kyler Murray had monster games for their teams, combining for 850 passing yards and four touchdowns. The two teams combined for 68 first downs and 1,342 total yards in the game. #6 Oklahoma made it out alive, 48-47.
  • Winner: Northwestern: Believe it or not, the Wildcats have been tough on the road against conference opponents. Only losing three of their last 15 road contests against conference opponents, Northwestern is in control of the Big Ten West after a 14-10 victory over #21 Iowa. Ian Bowser had a monster day for the Wildcats, running the ball 31 times for 165 yards and a touchdown.
  • Loser: North Carolina State: It seems the Wolfpack have fallen on hard times after losing to Clemson. Their latest casualty, a 27-23 upset at the hands of Wake Forest, has this team reeling. What's worse is that North Carolina State was leading, 23-13, with 14:53 left in the fourth quarter.
  • Loser: DeAndre Francois and Florida State: This team is taking Texas's place as a once-great program that regularly falls short of expectations. Francois just got picked off against Notre Dame to start the game.
  • Loser: North Texas in the Fourth Quarter: The Mean Green were actually up against lowly Old Dominion, 31-24, heading into the fourth quarter. However, ten unanswered points doomed North Texas to a stunning 34-31 upset. Old Dominion wide receiver Travis Fulgham had eight catches for 155 yards and a touchdown.
Other Winners: Washington State, Tre Walker, Drue Chrisman
Other Losers: Michigan State's quarterback situation, Oklahoma State trying to get the extra point(s), Wisconsin
