The Big Ten has returned to action! That means midwestern football under a true fall atmosphere! Who's hailing to the victors and who's feeling green?
  • Winner: Michigan Wolverines: In what was the most complete game coached by Jim Harbaugh, the #18 Michigan Wolverines went into Minnesota and stomped the #21 Gophers by a score of 49-24. The Wolverines did a little bit of everything in this game, ranigng from offensive touchdowns (the Wolverines had five rushing touchdowns) to a defensive touchdown (Donovan Jeter recovered a fumble for a touchdown) to a solid kick return (Michael Barrett had a 66-yard return). Jim Harbaugh did a solid job prepping the offensive line for this game as Joe Milton looked great in this game (15-for-22, 225 yards, and a touchdown). Next stop for the Wolverines is their proverbial "little brother", Michigan State, who suffered a shocking loss to Rutgers.
  • Winner: Nick Andersen: The walk-on defensive back for Wake Forest had a career day, getting all three picks for the Demon Deacons. Andersen's three interceptions helped Wake Forest upset #19 Virginia Tech, 23-16. Andersen also had 11 total tackles today, making the freshman's presence known.
  • Loser: Penn State's Luck: After this controversial two-point conversion in overtime, the Nittany Lions lost to Indiana, 36-35. With Ohio State looming next week, they're suddenly staring down the barrel of an 0-2 start. Yikes. At least their turnover card looks sweet.
  • Loser: Rice's Luck: Speaking of misfortune, here is a QUADRUPLE doink off the goal posts that would've sealed the game at the last second for the Owls. By the way, the Owls went on to lose the game in double overtime against Middle Tennessee State, 40-34.
Other Winners: Greg Schiano, Malik Willis, University of Texas-San Antonio
Other Losers: Florida International, North Carolina State, Michigan State
