Cardinals' Off-Season Checklist

The Arizona Cardinals finished last in the NFC West, but have a promising future thanks to Kyler Murray. What do they need to do to compete in the deep NFC West?

• Give Budda Baker A New Contract: Baker has quietly become one of the best safeties in the NFL. The All-Pro has 14 pass deflections, 3.5 sacks, 323 combined tackles, and four forced fumbles in his three seasons with Arizona. In fact, Baker was third in the NFL in solo tackles last season (104). Baker can become an anchor for a budding defense and can also be a piece to build around. Arizona must give Baker a solid contract as soon as possible.
  
• Do Something With David Johnson: Johnson was supposed to be the main cog in Arizona's future plans. However, Johnson has fallen by the wayside, especially with his 345 rushing yards, 3.7 yards per carry, and two touchdowns last season. Some say that cutting Johnson isn't a viable option; if not, they should look to trade Johnson. A potential reunion with Bruce Arians would sound enticing for Johnson.
  
• Give Murray Some Weapons: With Larry Fitzgerald seeing the sunset on his career, Kyler Murray will need some weapons to work with. The NFL Draft is an ideal place for this, especially with this year's crop of receivers being one of the best.
