Browns' Off-Season Checklist

Here it is. THE CLEVELAND BROWNS CHECKLIST! For once, I actually am excited about doing this since there is a since of hope in Cleveland regarding this team. Having finally found a franchise quarterback and a young, budding defense, the Browns might actually take the AFC North this year. What do they need to do to claim the AFC North crown?

• Shuffle Up the Coaching Staff (done): Freddie Kitchens is the new head coach after the Browns finally ditched Hue Jackson. Kitchens seems like the fresh face the Browns have been looking for: a younger, enthusiastic coach who's hungry to win in Cleveland. Replacing Kitchens, who was formerly the offensive coordinator of the Browns, is Todd Monken, who may go for just one season in Cleveland.
  
• Build Up the Line Up Front (done): Acquiring Olivier Vernon via trade and signing Sheldon Richardson will help the Browns up front defensively. Richardson will provide Cleveland with a boost, giving Minnesota 12 quarterback hits, 30 hurries, and five sacks for the Vikings last year. The Browns needed that boost considering their run defense was ranked 28th, their scoring defense was 21st, and their total defense was 30th.
  
• Give Mayfield Some Weapons (done): Just hot off the press is Cleveland acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. If OBJ can stay out of his own way on the field, the Browns will have a dangerous playmaker for Baker Mayfield to work with. On paper, the Browns wide receiving group looks solid with the addition of Beckham.
  
• Keep On Building: The Pittsburgh Steelers lost both Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. The Baltimore Ravens lost four defensive starters this off-season already. The Cincinnati Bengals just suck. If the Browns play their cards right and continue to build their team, there's no doubt the Browns will win the AFC North come January or earlier.
