It's not the best time to be a Manchester United fan. The once-proud franchise and winner of 20 Premier League titles, 12 FA Cups, and numerous titles, the Red Devils are currently sitting in the tenth spot in the Premier League. Their recent 1-0 loss to Bournemouth F.C. has only cemented the recent trend.
There have been recent talks of a 'rebuild' at Old Trattford, which may explain why Manchester United hasn't done so well this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for younger pieces to build and has been impressed by the center midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Fred. Other pieces, however, may be at the expense of being transferred (see Paul Pogba and his near-transfer to Paris Saint-Germain).
Would getting a striker Lautaro Martinez be a good idea? Maybe. But Martinez will be an expensive transfer to move. There are also rumors of a Zlatan Ibrahamovic return to Europe. However, Zlatan seems more inclined to join a team in the Italian Serie league. Other potential additions for the Red Devils include Thomas Muller and Erling Braut Haaland.
This is a transitional time for Manchester United fans. Not even competing for a spot in Europa has Man U fans wondering what will happen next. Will Ole be gone? Who will be sent out to cut payroll? Once May rolls around, things will get interesting in Manchester.
