Bears' Off-Season Checklist

5/27/2018

The Bears got lost in the mix of the NFC North again, finishing at the bottom of the division. What can they do to return to their former glory?
  • Find a Head Coach That Can Make Mitch Trubisky Better (done): Matt Nagy has plenty of experience working with quarterbacks, which is a boost for a Bears team that hasn't sen a great quarterback in a long time. Chicago's hoping that Trubisky will gain the confidence necessary to leading the Bears to greatness.
  • Add a Linebacker (done): Roquan Smith is hoping to become the linebacker Brian Urlacher was during his heyday. An intimidating, imposing force on the field and a leader off it, Smith's presence would help a young linebacker unit develop into a more cohesive unit.
  • Add Playmakers (partially done): The Bears gave Trubisky some weapons to work with, acquiring Trey Burton and Allen Robinson. They also drafted Anthony Miller out of Kentucky in the second round of the draft. If they can add one more receiver to make Trubisky's life easier, it will go a long way to helping the Bears.
