AL East Preview

Are you ready for summer's favorite sport to return? I know I am, because baseball season's just around the corner! Let's kick off the MLB preview for 2018 with a look at a division that will see a rivalry rekindled to greater levels.

• Team to Beat: New York Yankees: What do you get when you add the NL MVP to a lineup that has the AL MVP in it? You get two potential 50-HR mashers in Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge. Miguel Andujar has also looked terrific in spring training, making the Baby Bombers a bigger threat down the road.
  
• Team in Rebuilding Mode: Tampa Bay Rays: Trading Evan Longoria and Jake Odorizzi was the white flag for the Rays regarding contention. Chris Archer (11.15 K/9, 248 SO) is expected to fetch a decent prospect package along with Alex Colome. You can throw Baltimore in this category if things quickly go south for the Orioles.
  
• Team That Can Be Really Good Or Bad: Boston Red Sox: Adding J.D. Martinez will provide the Sox with a middle-of-the-order hitter. However, the Red Sox do need Rick Porcello (1.40 WHIP, 4.65 ERA) and Eduardo Rodriguez (1.28 WHIP, 4.19 ERA) to be better starters. Chris Sale should look like a Cy Young candidate, but he can't be the only starter who looks dominant.
